Achieve and Flourish

Home Page

Cedar class work with Mr Pearcy (Classteacher) and Mrs Parsons (Teaching Assistant). We provide a nurturing environment for our students, because we know that children learn best when they feel safe and happy.

Our aim is to deliver creative, inspirational lessons. Recently, we have been working on the topic of World War One, with a particular focus on art.

We used natural materials to create our own model trench system. The German trenches are made of clay, whilst the British trenches are made of newspaper. Then we covered the trenches in mud and used grass clippings to create no man's land. If you look closely, you can see some miniature soldiers!

Inspired by the work of Andy Warhol, we created our own versions of World War One Pop Art!

We know that differentiation is important and we seek opportunities to develop practical skills, as well as academic subjects. Here, one of our students is making a raised flower bed.
